Modern Line Arrays use separate drivers for the high-frequency, mid-frequency, and low-frequency passbands. For a line source to work, the drivers in each passband need to be aligned. Therefore, each enclosure must be designed to fit tightly together to form a column of high-frequency, midrange, and low-frequency speaker drivers.

Actual sound reinforcement occasions include many large halls, venues, outdoor open-air stages, etc., and the live environment and audience positions are different. This needs to be applied to the acoustic characteristics of Line Array​s of different shapes. Including straight line sound sources, arc sound sources, J-type sound sources, progressive sound sources, etc.

The line array speaker system is composed of a row of sound radiation units arranged in a straight line and spaced very small from each other. These acoustic radiating elements are equal in phase and amplitude.
